I've just finished rebuilding the little Honda 70 Chaly so have gone for a trial fit to the back of the motorhome :D It fits lovely though I did need to take the platform off the bike rack (2 min job). The bike is now 40 years old but still wearing its original paint (except for new rear mudguard) as it seemed a shame to over-restore it. It will do 45 mph and take two people so perfect for popping to the shops etc on holiday. Its only 70 kg so doesn't overload the rear axle (the bike rack is rated at 70 kg) and I can lift it on/off on my own without too much trouble.

The rack is one specifically built for Honda Monkeybikes and costs £105 from Shire bikes.

ideal runabout . does the job a treat,
i run a dax 90cc ,had it 15yrs .
for many this would solve their runaround problem
2015 model kepspeed dax hunter 50cc monkeybike
again carries two. not fast but ideal for looking about .

I was thinking about going for a Dax but they fetch around twice as much as a Chaly. The Chaly also has indicators which is a bit of a bonus. Alas, they don't look nearly as cool as a Dax. Those Chinese copies are spectacular value and seem to be better built then they used to be.

has indicators fold down bars . came with the 90cc engine . i had to replace a back tyre last year as i had worn it out . had a couple of batteries and a few speedo cables . but great machine .
mates have the lifan 110cc dax . have had one but find the 90cc just right the bigger ones vibrate a bit .
once rode a 180cc german conversion . supposed to do 120 ml an hour . i gave in at about 85 . too close to ground for me .
but adam on that site does loads of stuff . that 50cc is cheap. mine was a grand . i bought it at the same time as i bought my 1500cc drifter so forced a deal. have you looked at adams other stuff . lots there . i dont know him but have met several of his customers they all seem pleased .
i nearly had a chaly then i saw my dax so bought it . at the time honda were doing the last of the 70cc dax for 2500 quid .
