No need, we all make mistakes
IMHO the crux of it is that I am basing my information upon experience ... I have been doing it for approx. 10 years and none of my engines have ever shown detrimental side effects from it, but they have all shown, what I believe to be, positive signs of improved performance, improved MPG, smoother and quieter running.
Now, I know there are people who believe things like the bible as being the word of God rather than just a collection of short stories cleverly cobbled together to help people who like to believe there is "someone" looking after them, but I personally believe that all the major moving parts of my engine, fuel pump etc. benefit from the extra lubrication that the 2-stroke oil provides ... again, I base that information purely upon my own experiences ... It might be interesting to know what source you are using to base your opinions upon ... opinions that you are fully entitled to hold, buuut ...

Using your own calculations and earlier statements (correcting for the 10% error) then the saving would be more in the region of £18.00, rather than £1.80 ... £18.00 is approximately ⅓ of a re-fill for me (Renault Trafic.) But again, the crux of the matter is, I don't do it for saving money, I do it because I believe in its beneficial effects upon my engine's health and performance.
