MOTORHOMES -what do you call YOURS, and why??

Our Motorhome is called Martha, and we are the Vandwellers!
Sorry......
Our VW is Daisy.
 
Ours is Delyth - 'cos she's a Dethleffs, and was acquired in Wales ... Doh!
 
Our boy is called ASH
The volcanic eruption in Iceland put paid to our flying and so a new life began on the road. 131 days away in our Ash since we bought him

Ours is called Grenville, though officially it is Grenville 2, but we don't bother with the 2 bit now. Grenville 1 was a Lunar Roadstar 780, 26 ft long, and to me, looked like a blooming great bus!! Husband, who used to drive the things, wasn't in the least bothered by the size, but I felt it was apropriate to call it after one of the bus companies he used to work for - Grenville Motors. (Besides, the alternatives - Firstbus, FT Williams and Flora Motors didn't sound as good!)

ours is called the lovebus , sure you will all understand why, we have seen others with same name as ours !!!

mmotorhomes what do you call yours

costalot seems to be a good name for ours been way for 6 weeks , new exhaust, leaf spring & clutch think we will stay home for a while.
 
My Boy put Me on the spot by asking 'what's His Name?' as soon as He saw Dad's latest purchase.....I said 'Henry.....'cos it's a Ford'.................'Why not Gerald?' Came His instant reply, (He's obsessed with the Futurama cartoons, with lots of President's Heads in Jars!)
The Day I name anything after a politician....!:mad2:.....Especially a Camper Van...surely the Antithesis of the Ruling mindset!!!!
 
Ours is Bertha (nothing to with berths), for much the same reason as our cats were called Mavis and Doris, my first car was Mabel.

The first 2 letters of the reg are HV so its our 'Happy Van' last 3 are DDO 'DOG Dossing Over'
 
Ours is called 'Neverthere' for 2 reasons 1. It's not the fastest way from A to B but mainly reason 2. That hopefully there's always somewhere else to go.
 
My camper has two names...

It's Sunday name is Dot, named after I looked at the key that is stuck in the fuel filler cover that read "Dorothy's Keys". So the name stuck.

It's usual name is the Bananavan... longish story to do with a pub conversation on bananas (!), which was only a couple of weeks before I bought the van - which by sheer fluke, is bright yellow! A talented friend of mine from Holland recently sent me a package of branded, "Bananavan" accessories, including a toy camper, banana covers for putting in the cupboard, and t shirts!
 
Motorhome Name

I call my Motorhome Foggy as the reg is FGY, my neighbour it Effery for the same reason as the first letter in the reg is E (E**FGY).
My last one was Merlin the Motorhome.
 
Hi, Our last m/h was called affectionetly "Piglet" hence my call sign , we are now retired and out as often as poss in new van called "Fidget" because I hate staying put any longer than a couple of days anywhere or going back the way we came. (spose I should now be fidgets pilot)

Our first camper was just the Pod, the new one has a toilet. lol:raofl:
 
My partner, jackie, has called ours Big Bum Bessie because her rear end sticks out from the side of the house when she's on the drive (the van's not Jackie's).

We call ours "Ramblin` Rose" for no reason other than it sounded good at the time,most people point as they pass and chuckle so it must be ok.!
We`ve had it 3 years now.The last one was "wanderin` Star" did we get took the p*ss out of :)
 
What's YOUR latest outfit called, MOS?? (I still think it out to be called L'Escargot!!)
