MOTORHOMES -what do you call YOURS, and why??

I'm fascinated by the names people think up for their motorhomes. Does yours have one?? And why??

Ours is called Grenville, though officially it is Grenville 2, but we don't bother with the 2 bit now. Grenville 1 was a Lunar Roadstar 780, 26 ft long, and to me, looked like a blooming great bus!! Husband, who used to drive the things, wasn't in the least bothered by the size, but I felt it was apropriate to call it after one of the bus companies he used to work for - Grenville Motors. (Besides, the alternatives - Firstbus, FT Williams and Flora Motors didn't sound as good!)
 
i cant belive people are daft enough to give a name to a bit of metal................................................oh mines called moomin, no idea why it just popped into my head
 
ours is called "Libby" because she's a LMC Liberty our last one was called "Fanny" the Fiat!
 
Ours is called Charles ! When our daughter drove it for the first time she said omg the wing mirrors are the size of prince charles ears .
 
The one n only.................

Toxic Turtle. Hes been so named since we got him 6 years ago! He's green wi a white shell and is now resplendant wi turtle eyes, gaffer tape bandana and big toothy grin!

We call ours costalot because we are always paying out.

I know the feeling, there's always SOMETHING, and because it's a MH, rather than a car, you always end up paying more! But I wouldn't be without Grenville (unless I had a Romahome instead!!) and I can't wait to get going again. :drive:
 
Van names

When I got mine, being a folk music fan and a lover of puns, I started calling it 'Rolling Home' after a well-known sea-shanty I used to sing. My elderly neighbour, not known for mincing her words, looked down her nose and me and said, 'Humph. At least you can shorten it to Rolly.' I didn't argue.

we call ours lovebus. let you all figure out for yourselves as to why
also the bus for short ,she is an auotrail cheyenne 696

whats do you call YOUR'S

Ours is called Konny, coz she is an old Swift Kontiki, and on the subject of names we even have one for the Sat nav we call it Purdy because the voice is SO POSH she always says PLEASE whenever she gives you a command ! :wacko:

Mine is called Eeyore because bit like Eeyore, SLOW, But they do say slow and steady wins the race.

All our campers have had names .we usualy let the motor name itself. our last one was Grandpar because we found a postcard stuck down the back of the drivers seat from two children saying they had just been to Baeyer with grandpar ,and his No plate was GPA ....... the two we have at the moment (flash but long story)
are Mavis (Merc ) and, Nadette the cheeky petite french piece (romahome )she reminds us of a lovely lady who looked after our little hideaway in the south of france so brilliantly for years ,strange how some campers are male and some female , and we allways agree on the sex streight away MOS
 
Our first MH was called Big John......(kind of in honour of my hubby's dad who is no longer alive) We loved Big John...I even cried when we sold him!!!

Now our MH is called The Moonmobile.....only because our surname is Moon!!!
