Motorhome warranty

I took my van for an mot Thursday then drive it back, no chance of leaving it fir days it’s my home. You just need sensible precautions as always. Measures spoken about in this thread are really fit if you are a high risk.

Many have caught covid thinking they were a low risk, and sadly have passed away. Measures spoken on this thread would apply to myself, and everyone else on here. When you start to think that you are a low risk, that’s when you may let your guard down and let Covid in.

I didn’t mention low risk did I?

we need to start getting things going closer to normality. Picking your van up then wiping down surfaces should be fine. Extreme measures are not needed in my opinion unless you are in a high risk group where you will probably be sheltering.

if you get a gas leak in your house are you going to evacuate for two or three days, have workmen in then quarantine the house for another 2 or 3 days?

just use common sense, it’s all that’s ever been needed

Just has hab service. Nothing on removal of stuff just they would sanitise it, certainly smelt fresh! However no real work to be done so that seems the likely reason perhaps?

No but you stated that only those at high risk need heed this thread.

I did not say to heed or not. Everyone is free to do as they wish but keeping telling folks things that aren’t strictly right just adds to confusion.

There seems to be a hive mind regarding a lot of things relating to COVID and I see it almost as trying to bully folk into doing what they want. I don’t buy into it and my opinion is as valid as anyone else’s 👍

Judging by all the likes I got Nabsim, and comments from others.I was not alone in my assertion.
But I do apologise if I misunderstood you.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and certainly no need to apologise to me. I do find I have to keep biting my tongue on many references where COVID pops up. It just so happened it was with your post nothing more than that 👍

I thought that was a given.
Yes you have to touch your mouth or your eyes to complete transmission of virus after touching a contaminated surface.

And thats the reason that wearing gloves offers no protection? If the virus is transferred from a contaminated surface to the hand, while wearing gloves or not, the route of infection is still the same.

What gloves do is stop you from possibly spreading infection.
I have to visit people in their homes, I wear gloves before entering that way if I have picked up an infection I won't pass it on elsewhere via my hands.
Before entering my car when leaving I take the gloves off carefully, so that I don't transmit the virus within my car.
But hand sanitisers can be used prior to entry and leaving also.

In that senario/ environment wearing gloves makes a great deal of sense and offers protection for all. Thanks for the distinction.
