Motorhome tyres - how frequently do you replace?

I have Michelin campers on the rear of my 2010 Autocruise dated 2008 Both still in good condition. I ask the mot man each year if they need changing but he says no still in great condition.🤔
Well I would head out and replace them.
I have had a blow out in a car on the M6.
£12,500 worth of damage (9 years ago), and I am lucky to be here right now.

With the best will in the world as far as tyres are concerned ...
He's got no more idea on how good they are than you do by just looking at them .

I'll be replacing mine a lot lot sooner than I used to do after experiencing a complete carcass fail (luckily at low speed and straight road )
Rather than at 50mph down hill around a bend on the Trawsfynydd to Bala road an hour or so earlier in the journey ...

All the tyres looked in great condition although ...
The motorhome had spent periods of being parked up before we bought it rather than the more regular use we make of it ....
Not cheap at £400 to replace all four tyres BUT far better than the motorhome and it's contents on its side and scattered all over the road ....

My regular tyre guy (I've dealt with for 30 odd years all sorts of tyres )

Reckoned age related failure of the internal cord structures leading to the tyre structure ripping itself apart along the thinnest part ...between the treads .
Related to being parked up and the structure not being 'exercised'

Usually change mine around 50000 miles which is usually around 3/4 years. Always plenty of thread left but walls get a bit damaged. Give old ones to mates who off road, they don't mind a bit of wall damage, but I don't want them on a van that enjoys stretching her legs, only on autobahns of course.
Previous van and existing one changed front tyres at 30k miles .
Basically because they needed to be changed.
Certainly wouldn't get 50k out of them
