Motorhome taps

Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me how much water pressure the taps used in a caravan motorhome can stop? I know they use a micro switch to operate the pump, or a pressure switch in the pipe work. The reason I ask is I need to install a sink hob combi unit in a yurt. There is a water supply to the yurt from a house about 50mts away, the house water supply comes from a bore hole, and the pressure in the house is pretty low compared to a mains water supply. The reason I can't use domestic taps is I need the tap spout to fold down so the glass lids on the sink/hob can be closed down!
Any thoughts, ideas welcome.
Thanks

Jimmy

camper taps will probably be ok, but have you thought of fitting the tap on the worktop to one side of the sink so the lid can close ?

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion, I had thought about mounting a standard mixer tap to the side then thought better of it in case kids turned it on when not over the sink..!
I'll try to get hold of a second hand camper tap and hook it up to the feed pipe to see if it will hold the pressure. I know there'll be next to no pressure against them in there normal situation as the pump won't be running!
Thanks again.

I use these water pressure reducers for my garden Hozelock auto watering system, they reduce it to 20 PSI, B&Q or any Hozelock stockists sell them. I have had the same one fitted to the watering system for 5 years and not had a problem with it. https://www.wigleydiy.co.uk/hzk-aut...X2oXwghc0kMu45Vdvgoii8Yo2eMK6ZcdlcaAoSH8P8HAQ

Or a Truma one if your feeling flush. Truma Waterline Pressure Reducing Valve | Truma Code: 40060-98700 | Truma Ultraflow Water Supply Fittings + Spare Parts | Leisureshopdirect

Thanks for the ideas. I'll post again when I have given this a try and let you what the end result is.
