Hi All,

I have been approached by several insurance companies looking to advertise on this site or offer member deals.

I was just wondering who you are all insured with, so I can decide whos arm to twist for the best deals!

Insurance

Hi Admin

Just changed from a Lunar Telstar coachbuilt, 6m long, 2.5 Renault Master, Cat 1 alarm, stored on a CL behind dry stone walls and a locked gate. Value £28k ish to a Autocruise Pace van conversion, 6m long, 3.0 Peugeot, Cat 1 fitted and stored same place, value just over £40k. Insurance is Caravan Guard £280 inc breakdown cover of £36 (which you cannot opt out of). Both were with the same insurer and the new van is more expensive yet £50 for the year cheaper to insure. Work that one out!!!

I think that sometimes the insurance companies give a discount for where you bought it.

Also Caravan Guard have a 10 days free insurance thing.

Hi Phil, when renewal is due, I ring around. And Saga always give a good deal that includes o/seas travel.
Regards Nig.

Hi Phil I'm with Insurance Choice, However, Frank Pickles, Camptons, and Adrian Flux all came in with very good quotes

2nd year Adrian Flux with present van, previous was with LifeSure.

iam with caravan guard fully comp pay first £250 cost me £222.25 a year

Saga.

There were only two companies, Saga and Comfort, that would insure our van and give us the Green Card we needed for Morocco. Saga were cheaper.

hi all,
we are with safeguard ,
give them a call , we are very happy with there terms £330.00 with free recovery local and abroad. :)

Hi Phil,

We're with Whittlesey Insurance, £260 fully comp and they know the difference between coachbuilt and A class etc. :D

safeguard here too...they also offer 365 day cover outside the uk has standard many others restrict to 6 months.

That was an influencing factor for me originally.

Saga at the moment

This is our first year with the van. A professional conversion on a citroen relay by a small company.

Insured with Saga fully comp @ £285, got this deal by moving my car insurance to them as well.

caravanwise, they were one of the very few who would quote for our Peugeot based Frankia LHD, about £260 iirc,

I'm insured with Caravan Guard, paing about £230 fully comp and they've allowed me to carry over the NCB used on my main vehicle, a Kangoo van, to be used on the Roo at the same time.

Nfu ins
