Motorhome Heating when on EHU

We've never run the heating overnight, when on EHU during the day we use a small fan heater, in the morning just switch the electric underfloor heating on and 1/2 hour later the floor is warm and so is the van. The underfloor heating was special order for previous owner from Hymer.

Bit late for you but might help others.

Thanks very much. Where on earth did you find that? I am going to try and download this as I certainly couldn't find it. Will save me kneeling down beside the bed watching it for green and orange lights to make sure I am doing it correctly. Very kind of you to help. Bob.

Thank you for all the interesting replies, We have a gas combi heater, but no point in using it if you are paying for electric. We are going to try an oil filled radiator.

Came with the mh, it's just a single sheet. I think we have the full manual - I'll try and find and copy it for you

I also got a cheap stand up convector heater from Argos. Weighs nothing unlike and oil filled one, has three settings 750w,1.2kw and 2kw, totally silent and stands in front of our fire so doesn't get in the way. On full chat it has the van roasting in sub zero temps and can be put away within minutes once off. I considered and oil heater but I read they have to be stood up, weigh loads and take an age to get going.

I never thought about the weight when I bought my Argos convector, you gave a great description, I think I`ll buy a second one LOL.
