A bit of news for everyone.
Motorhome Builder (motorhomebuilder.com) has now been folded back into Wild Camping. It originally started life as a spin-off from this site, and it's time to bring it home.
Where to find it
We've added a dedicated Self-Build Forums section with sub-forums for the things you'd expect — Base Vehicles, Construction & Tools, Electrical, Gas / Diesel, Water, Heating, DVLA / Insurance, Show us your van, Suppliers, Accessories, For Sale / Wanted, plus a Self-Build Chat for everything else.
All the old posts came with it
Over 1,700 threads and 23,000 posts have been imported from Motorhome Builder, credited to whoever originally wrote them, on their original dates. Attached photos, reactions ("likes"), the gallery albums and avatars all came across too.
Welcome to the new members
If you had an account on Motorhome Builder but not on Wild Camping, we've already created one for you under your same username and email address. To get in, just visit https://wildcamping.co.uk/login/password and request a password reset against your email. You'll be set up in a minute or two — no need to register again.
Old links still work
Anything you've bookmarked on motorhomebuilder.com — threads, individual posts, members, media — will redirect to the right place here automatically. Same goes for Google results; those will follow along over the next few weeks.
Chris is taking the helm of the Self-Build section
@edina (Chris) will be looking after this section, the same way he ran Motorhome Builder. Among other things, he'll be going through the existing Motorhome forums looking for self-build threads and moving them across to the new Self-Build section — so don't be alarmed if you see a thread quietly relocating itself; that's only him tidying up.
