Moth in van question

Hi, I'm a bit worried I've got a carpet month infestation in my van. Every time I get in it I notice one or two brown moths. I don't like killing things but not do I want the carpets crawling. The whole van is carpet lined. I've tried taking everything out and washing it but still two moths yesterday. Will moths balls be the answer and will they hurt my dogs? Google suggested lavender which I've tried. Van smells amazing but still got moths. Any advice much appreciated.

Tried letting spiders handle it, wasn't a great success. Local hardware shop sells moth balls so the ban can't be everywhere but I'll take the advice re dogs and not use. I'm guessing the strips are ok with dogs, as long as they are out of reach. Thanks for the responses.

It worked for us and smells lovely! The other suggestion is cedar wood which works well, but the resin can damage fabrics.

I'd use this product. I use these as a preventative measure in my workplace and they kill everything

Cluster flies do no harm they are just hibernating and will be gone in the spring, why do we feel we have to kill everytime?

Clearly you don't have them in your attic or loft space every year. They could be tolerated if you don't use the space, but if you do, then they either fly out in droves when the hatch is opened or litter everything stored in the attic with their carcasses depending on the time of year :mad2::mad2:

I am very impressed that you might have woollen carpets, in the MH as most are nylon. You can get materials that kill moths. My wife's very nice cashmere shawls got got and my beaver skin top-hat was also got.

When I started my current escapade around Europe a few weeks ago, I was first trying to catch the flies and guide them outside so they could be free and frolic with their friends. Four weeks of having the buggars constantly flying right into my face and then laying eggs in my french cheese, and I was literally bashing them to death with an old sock.

Some of the electrified tennis racket have a better "jolt" than others. I remember the first one we bought a few years ago had a 9v battery which would literally fry the pests, sadly I've never found as good a replacement.
