Sure there are, but that's my point. If they said " no black motorhomers" there'd be hell to pay....So there are no Irish , Jewish or Black motorhomers ?

Yes there is and I keep a big placard up my jumper to which I flash and get away with blue murder, I wish.So there are no Irish , Jewish or Black motorhomers ?
So there are no Irish , Jewish or Black motorhomers ?I just listened to the 2 short links, does this man know nothing about us? He sounds uninformed about why most of us buy/build campervans, & seems to suggest that we are all disgusting heathens who will stop at nothing to spoil the area by defacating everywhere & throwing rubbish all over. Does he really believe we all live on McDonald's & pizzas, cos that seems to be the majority of the crap that is usually blowing about in every carpark. Why would I spend money on self contained bathroom facilities, so I can sh*t outside like a bloody animal?
The man's a horn, just like all the other concerned locals who seek to stop everyone except themselves from enjoying the seaside unless we pay heavily into "their" local economy.
I wouldn't want to stay on an organized campsite even if they were free, that's not what I'm about.
After a lifetime of enjoying the east coast with my parents then with my son, I have now spat the dummy out & will never head there again. I refuse to hand over another penny to these uninformed, hostile anti motorhomers. The situation is dire & getting worse. I am disgusted that I am treated as an outlaw just for having a hobby. I have never in my life wanted to go out of this country, "my country" before, but now I am seriously considering it.
It grieves me that if I was Irish, or Black, or Jewish etc I would be protected from this kind of prejudice by the very same people that seek to persecute me. Why are we being treated in this manner? What did we do? I am a law abiding individual, I do things by the book, yet I'm made to feel like a criminal every time I take my bus out. I am disgusted at the way things are going & I weep for the next generation.....
Not how it reads but thanks for clarifyingSure there are, but that's my point. If they said " no black motorhomers" there'd be hell to pay....
Gotta be careful buddy, them there's protected travellers not oiks in motorhomes......I.did notice yesterday as I traveled along the A165 by Filey, the travellers that are parked up at the side of the road complete with horses. No mention of them. At least any vans that were on the old road would not be causing traffic problems.
Sorry, I'm not very eloquent sometimes, I'm just one man trying to make a difference.....So there are no Irish , Jewish or Black motorhomers ?

So true as nearly all county , district and parish councils offer next to nothing for motor homes and all UK tourism in the doldrums ! We have money to spend but can’t park so we can spend it!I just listened to the 2 short links, does this man know nothing about us? Well spotted harold ,blew up the image and I think you are spot onMore lazy journalism in my opinion. That image is a stock photo and probably is from France or Spain judging by the concrete power pole.
Local papers and radio should stick to reporting and researching local issues properly and leave this sh&t stirring to Facebook et al.
Cheers

Bravo harold could not have put it accross any better mate ,thank you very muchHad to bite I'm afraid ...
Good Morning,
I have just listened to two clips from local radio featuring your views on the use, or misuse, of parking areas within your locality.
This is a recurring problem which is addressed perfectly amicably all over Europe but seems to be met with intransigence and open hostility in UK. I have a motorhome and travel widely using a mix of sites and parking facilities, where they exist, often at pubs, clubs and village halls etc. It is true that these units are expensive to buy and run but I don’t understand why, having gone to all the expense, anyone with a self contained motorhome would defecate in a lay-by or leave fast food wrappers etc blowing around. I would suggest that problem lies with people visiting in cars and vans without the fully self contained facilities motorhomes do have.
I must declare an interest in developing continental type services, being a member of an excellent campaigning organisation which is dedicated to the growth of off site parking for this large, and growing, sector of the tourist industry. The membership currently stands at roughly 20,000 and motorhome registrations in UK easily top 300,000, so there seems to be an opportunity for local communities to benefit from what is a generally well disciplined and well heeled section of society. May I draw your attention to this organisation https://campra.org.uk, where guidance and case studies can be found.
Sadly articles of the type aired yesterday on you local radio do nothing but generate a lot of heat and not much light and provoke negativity from both sides of the issue. As a retired person who’s worked a lifetime, been a trade unionist for the best part of fifty years and been proud to pay my way, and continue to do so, it strikes me as odd that the default position of many local authorities is so very restrictive. This year is destined to be a golden opportunity for home based tourism. I’d like to think we, as a society, can be much more imaginative than taking the route of restrictions at every turn.
Regards
I sent a comment also and, from this thread, I know that others have. Yet the web page still invites me to be the 'first to add a comment' -- unbridled BS methinks!Has anyone received a reply concerning this report. i sent a comment to the website but they have not even piublished it or any other comments.

If he starts reading it about now he should finish reading it by the Autumn!Well I've despatched an email.
Not as good as Harold's (winks) missive, but at least it adds another voice and another two penn'orth to the argument.![]()
I'd have said "Hey knobhead shut yer gob" but I wouldn't have put it quite so poshly!A very persuasive missive Harold. If I was to communicate further, I would say something like, "Wot e sed".
Thank you.
