Hiya folks,

Were of into north wales next Friday and was wondering if anyone has ever stayed at Moel Famau?

I stayed there a couples years ago friday/ saturday night and it was hell with the boy racers nice view at night though.

Moel Famau is a hill and you can't drive up it. If you are referring to the car parks at the base, they are both controlled by ticket machines and I believe both have height barriers.

I was there last year in the main car park - are these new barriers?

It's a long time since I used to play around there, but have a look at the next road north across the Clwyds, the pass alongside Moel Arthur. I remember there being a few places to pull off the road along there, but it would be about 30 years ago . . . :scared:

Back then you could have driven up the track on Moel Fammau to the Jubillee Tower. Well worth a walk up to the top tho, if visibility is good the views are superb.
