Finally decided that the hassle of parking my caravan at the end of a trip is too awkward off a main road with many parked vehicles. Completed a fuller interior conversion of my van but am concerned about perishables going off in warm weather. No space for a three way as in the caravan so considering a 20 litre Icebox as advertised on Amazon. Has anyone any experience to share?

We run a 40l Waeco compressor type coolbox in the transit.... Its been running none stop 24/7/365 for the last 3 years without problem....
Always loaded with beer and foor ready to go... We have 2 x 100w solar and a durite VSR charging 3 x 100ah leisure batteries.

I have a small 230v mini fridge which i have been testing in workshop and it will run of a smart inverter for three days on two 90ah batterys.

Most powered iceboxes aren't mini compressor, they are thermoelectric, have used them in past and worked well, but a low voltage cutoff is recommended.
T'other week Aldi had a good deal on one.

Got the brand name wrong - Should be Ice Cube! Thanks to the ****** shenanigans & value of the pound the price has risen £40 overnight

The Waeco compressor fridges /boxes take some beating for reliability/efficiency/VFM in most conditions . :)

I've got an 80l waeco compressor fridge - no complaints so far after about 8 years use

I got a 40 litre dometic freezer / cool box. Temperature settings really flexible you can use as a fridge or a freezer. Wouldn’t be without it as we freeze food at home and take with us on all our trips
