Metal fabricators for bed runners

Thanks guys and thanks for the kind offer Jim. Looking at the design of this thing it's clearly more complex than I thought. I'll just have to source the correct runners when I get home and make do until then.

Barry. I thought that you knew I am a metal fabricator / designer ? if you send me a small section of the existing plasic one I could probably fold you a similar section in either aluminium or steel powder coated
Hi mate just reading through the forum I’m looking for 2 sections of bed lath runners for my 2011 sprite muskateer caravan to replace the plastic ones could you help me out?

I'd need to be steel Tim, those two frolicking would see off aluminium easily.

Well!! I say frolicking but, I'd imagine Michelle might not want to stoop that low anymore.

Same problem on two vans, I wonder what the common denominator is?
Maybe you need to rip the interior out and fit this

I don’t understand how manufacturers use so much plastic. It’s only good for about 10 years because it age hardens and then become brittle and cracks or breaks.

Don't forget they are designed for maybe 3 weeks and odd weekends away on a campsite for 10 years. People want all the latest luxury so weight (and quality) is reduced elsewhere to allow gadgets. Well, that's without C1 vans anyway, and I do know the bean counters just slash cost and quality wherever they can. Its no longer customer orientated
