Due to a recent illness I'm unable to finish off the alterations to the interior of my motorhome.I bought it just over a year ago whist I was still living abroad.Only been back in the uk 3mths.It was the intention to tour round the uk with my dogs. The rear of the truck inside already had 2 large double beds, one above the other.
I had no need for 2 so I took the bottom one out and was replacing it with a fold away single futon which would be under the double bed.The futon comes with the truck too.
It looks a bit untidy at the back end but it's only the old wood, carpet, plus all the new plywood and timber which I have already bought for the new design I had in mind.
With the alterations,it would still have a large garage area to store plenty of stuff...that's where I was going to have the cages for my dogs.
You will see from picture in the back that it has a 240v fuse box already in with electric hookup.Plenty of sockets in the truck plus a 240v fridge. There is a small 12v wiring system which by the looks of it was just for a couple of lights.
The last owner,Phil used to take a vintage motrbike/sidecar in the back, and they always stayed on sites with EHU.Hence the 240v system.
There is also a gas cooker which is supplied from a bottle in one of many belly lockers on the outside..There is a sink with tank underneath.
The floor in the living area is good quality laminate, and there are, as you can see, plenty of storage space.
The cab up front is a double sleeper cab,so in reality when the interior is finished it would be a 5 berth.
The truck is tested until August and is a real good runner...not fast cos she's an old lady now,but on the trips I've had, very reliable.Cruise at 50/60mph.
It has 2 brand new 627 commercial batteries, about 2 months ago,and it is about to have a new front tyre put on in the next couple of days...The tail lift works as it should although the shutter door is a little stiff, prob wants greasing.
The body is also fully insulated as it began it's life as a refridgerated delivery truck.Nice and warm/cool.
All in all,it just wants a bit of work to the sleeping area and a good jet wash and hey,you will have yourself a reliable, well they are,''Mercerdes Benz''...oh by the way it is the 4250cc turbo Eco Power engine...Year 1997...5 Speed, and 2 sets of keys.
It's getting ready for the camping season and I will be very p!!ssed off that I can't do want I was planning, especially after waiting all this time.
