Also, apparently a redcoat perished there in the winter. Looking for the reivers apparently.
My father's people all came from that area. It is lovely but so hard to resist the urge to go further north...

We stayed at Megget Loch on our way back downhill this year, on driving through Moffat for the umpteenth time it struck me as a handy place to live for going both up, down and sideways in either direction so it will be going on our downsizing short list

We had the same thought a few years ago but never acted on it, there was a bungalow for sale out towards St Mary Loch we fancied.
