Like many of you we have successfully managed to get all our kids married off. For us this means that we only get them and their children every other year for Christmas. This year it is their year for visiting the “in-laws” so Sue and I are on our own. As usual we are away in the van. This year we have decided to do Dumfries and Galloway, but our first stop is at Moffat en route tomorrow night to have dinner at the excellent Brodies gin bar and restaurant .
This got me reminiscing about the fantastic rallies that we used to have at the Frog (thanks to Gordon) We met so many of you here and had such great laughs. I recall one quiz night with Meg (Biggarmac) asking questions and that Wully guy running outside to peer through the windows to see the answers. We won’t mention somebody’s van getting bogged down there.
What a shame the Frog ain’t like the Frog of old - we miss it and we miss meeting you lot there.
Happy Christmas all.
Tony

Moffat was the first officially declared "Dark Sky" town, so fantastic for star gazing if you're into that thing - lets hope for no cloud if you are!

Cheers,

Ha, aye Wully's window plagiarism trick :giggle:

Who's van got bogged down?

I am sure you will both enjoy your D&G trip, Merry Christmas 🎅

Never been to The Frog but had a good few nights on the C&CC site there and seen plenty parked up over the fields at the back of the site.

Have a good trip Tony

I remember when Gordon of Gordon and moira did the quiz night he was hilarious and sitting round the fire Jeff’s firpit while the early hours loved those meets but the meets at St Andrews were excellent another great Scottish meet lost 😞
A lot of us , individually, used to enjoy the West Sands at St Andrews

We've wild camped all around there many many times love the area, devils beef tub is wonderful.

That part of south west Scotland and further south and west in Dumfries & Galloway is lovely.
It's our (or "my", that is!) intention to explore that neck of the woods when we get our next camper. 👍

Want to explore a lot more of Glasgow and roundabout there too (y)(y)

Presume you know why it's called that?
