Marston Vale/ Stewertby Lake overnight?

Has anyone stayed overnight at the Marston Vale Country Park next to Stewertby Lakes in Bedfordshire? Forest of Marston Vale

Looking for an overnight stop this weekend to the west of Bedford and I'm sure I've seen motorhomes parked here from the new A421 road recently. Might just have been there for the day of course.

Visiting my Mum in MK43 9 and would normally stay there, but as she's not too well at the moment, we don't want to give her the extra hassle.

Ideally looking for somewhere quite remote with suitable dog walking. 26ft tag axle van at 4.5 tonnes so needs firm surface and room to turn!

The Odell one is the one you want. Just off the road and there is a Footpath that runs for miles into the woods that leads directly off the Car park. I have seen motor homes there several times and nobody bothers them.
