Marine parade Dover

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone knows if it is still ok to overnight on marine parade still. Just seen an article to say they are trying to ban it? We are hoping to stay overnight tomorrow night for an early ferry to Dunkirk on Monday.
Would be grateful for any info?

Thanks

With Dovers attitude why not boycott and use Canterbury park and ride. £3 a night all services plus unlimited travel on p&r buses

good pub on site as well

Thank you, that's useful to know. I will look it up.
Cheers
Hilary

New Dover Road its brilliant
Some say 20 mins to dover but if clear roads I would allow 30 mins.

Hi,

There are three P&R locations, I'm off Le Shuttle very early, if too tired, I could be looking somewhere to stop. Which one would you suggest?

Cheers.

New Dover Road - CT1 3EJ
Sturry Road - CT1 1AD
Wincheap, Ten Perch Road - CT1 3TY

As advised by other Members, you can park overnight at various locations. Dover Parade being one of them. I parked there on the 22nd, Tuesday and there were no problems. Came through Calais on the 21.45 sailing with P & O. A lot of the Immigrants around but no concerns. As long as you leave by 09:00 you will be okay.
Have a safe and pleasant journey. Have fun.

The ONLY one is the Dover Road one, the other two are car parks only with no access, there is a park for daytime in the coach park but it costs a bit.
The Dove Road is a specific facility for MH and they are well geared up for you. Waste and water available, there is an overflow park for when it is busy.
It is a pity we cannot have something like it in Dover but the Council is Anti everything.

This is good to know.. got a 07:30 crossing to Calais next Monday and want to be near the port to avoid traffic nightmares that seem to be occuring. There are no 'no overnight parking' signs up then? Remember seeing something last year about the campervan overnight parking situation:
Caravans are set to be banned from seafront | Dover Express

Anymore info on this much appreciated.

This is the thing I have been ranting about for a long time. I approached the Dover Harbour Board about allowing the empty car park at Northampton Quay for short time (aire type) parking and my letter went straight into the round filing cabinet in the corner, they did not even have the courtesy to answer or acknowledge my letter. I did offer to help to set it up and even run it so they might even make money on it..
The council want you to use caravan parks in the area. Vested interest??????
It is all your fault for SH***ing on the front gardens of the most expensive council houses in the area ( or were before they all made a killing by buying them up) and annoying the nimbys there, the most snobbish Tw**s in Dover, including some councilors.
As for the claims about the defecation I believe it refers to DOG MESS not wild campers going over the wall, plenty of that down there as the locals all like a walkies along the sea front. I do not like the fact I pay for their front lawn to be tended to on the rates and most other places left to rot.
KEEP UP THE OTHER END. By the Prince of Wales pier, that is until it is demolished to make way for Harbour improvement next year.

Thank you all...currently parked up at the park and ride, great place! Wouldn't have known about it without this forum! Just hope the ferries are okinthe morning.

What park n ride did you opt for?

New Dover Road, kitted out for Motorhomes, water top up, black and grey waste disposal! Amazing for £3!
