Manchester Clean Air Zone.

I'm down at my lad's house in Levenshulme just now and I can see no great benefit in imposing a "Clean air" zone. They've done the right thing with the stopping up of rat run streets around here and that keeps the traffic and resulting fumes on the main routes. You can taste the fumes when you walk under the railway bridge on Albert Road. I can't get over the amount of vehicles that are left to tick over for long periods around here and the downright dangerous driving of many young Asian men in particular.

Like you say, just a tax in disguise.

Cheers

Isn't this the third time M/cr has mooted a clean air zone only to reject it at a later date?
