I think I repurposed a cable in a similar way on my LT46 Minibus that had a rear wheelchair liftBus came with one end fused as it had a rear lift, cable was cut shorter by me to link up with the hab batteries, i fussed that end to just incase the cable split and touched the chassis under the van.
