Map on my android phone does not orientate while driving/navigating.
It does however orientate correctly when just viewing the map.
I have looked at many answers online and tried everything suggested and all that is obvious to me to no avail.

Does anyone have experience of this and fixed it?
Any suggestions welcome.
T.I.A. for any help.

If that is an android setting, auto rotate, then it's set to auto rotate, Google maps navigation works as expected. I can't see a specific setting in Magic Earth other than North Up, which is off.

You turn north up on, magic earth does not have back roads on it over here, best is OSM android or organic maps/co maps/ of street maps.

Just occasionally my android phone develops the odd glitch. My solution has always been to turn the device completely off, wait 30 seconds, and restart it.

It always amuses me to think that this switching on and off trick still works with phone and other devices (which it does!).

Remember the days where if a TV set started acting up folk would just bang the top of it to make it behave?! 🤪😂

After more checking I can safely say it's not any phone settings.
Google maps works just fine.
I installed Waze which also works just fine.

Trev, I can't see how North Up would help, unless travelling North, or reversing South.

I'll uninstall Magic Earth, turn off the phone, turn on phone, reinstall and see what happens.

I've a headlight like that in the Ferrari.

North up is confusing for me.
I tried it once and decided never again. I can read a paper map, and that is North up, but it isn't moving

Name dropper, what about us poor souls who cannot afford to have a headlight to hit

Simple, if you make a wrong turn the arrow will show you going wrong way, so you can then backtrack and find the correct road, i use it lots.
