Lunar Roadstar 726 and Bailey Approach 760SE Payloads

I've just spent £2.6k or air assist and heavy duty coils (in me mounts and shockers) so I now have a legal van with spare capacity.

Cost me £1600 8 years back to make me legal again.

My gross weight was ok but my bum was rather heavy so because the upgrade all went on my rear everything is now hunky dory again :)

I wouldnt have an issue upgrading any new van to make it legal but I have a feeling if that Roadstar is already on a 2400kg rear axle that that is as far as you can go but I stand to be corrected. I did wonder if actually buying a lighter van with similar payload and upgrading it would be the way to go but I really want the extended Alko chassis with the shorter overhang. The rack and scooter on our current Kontiki has no effect on the handling because of this and also the shorter the overhang the less weight it puts over the rear wheels. You can start to see why its taken me years to replace our current van. There it sits, faithfully on the drive like an old veteran.
