I know that LPG powered vehicles are banned from using the Channel Tunnel

Does this also apply to vehicles that have a Gaslow / Alugas system fitted?

Alugas/Tunnel

We used the Tunnel recently, all they did was checked to ensure that the bottle was turned off.

There's no problem with bulk tanks for leisure purposes. It's fully explained on their website, I've just booked and checked.

I believe that Alugas & Gaslow are permitted due to the fact that you can turn the bottle off at source (the bottle )

I had this reply from the Eurotunnel people this morning

Thank you for your email.
Campervans and other recreational vehicles which have LPG containers (as opposed to gas bottles) to power domestic services e.g. heating and refrigeration are accepted on the condition that the tanks are no more than 80% full and will be subject to inspection.
Kind regards

Hurrah :D
