Quite impressive for the money

Edit: Although if you check the specs it still gives charging range of 32F to 131F so its still advisable to monitor the temp yourself and not rely on low temp cut off

Low temperature protection cut off at -7°C sounds far too low for a LiFePO4 battery. Most Li batteries will shut back charging well before the battery drops below 0°C. This battery will need careful monitoring as suggested by @Nabsim . Also worth remembering that if an Li battery gets cold, warming through to the core of prismatic cells takes time and a temperature sensor on the BMS may not be getting accurate temperature info. At this price I doubt the battery has the multiple cell temperature sensors found on more expensive ones. However the price is very competitive.
 
That -7 is +/- 5 as well so could potentially be -12 before it cut out. You can but Lifepo4 batteries that are safe to charge ge and discharge at lower temps than this but they are very expensive and really a specialist item.

Ignoring the low temp cut out these batteries on paper are very similar to my TN Power battery but a lot less money. If I was going to change batteries at the moment this is the brand I would go for. I have always had dumb batteries and never had a problem but my use and location is not the same as everyone else so you get what suits.

IAfter 6 years on Lifepo4 I have come to the conclusion I am never going to wear them out, (unless something changes drastically), I won't even reach a quarter of their life cycles I don't think. I could make use of another 100Ah and my TN's are 4S or 2P so already on my limit. These Eco-Worthy are 4S or 4P

I just bought an Ecobat 100ah from Go Outdoors . This is a drop in unit which works with any lead acid charging system. Go outdoors price is £299 inc delivery and the next best price I could find for this quality battery was £440. + carriage. I think it is a division of Exide batteries. It’s an amazing deal from Go Outdoors!

These prices have been common in USA for some time, we seem to have caught up with them.

Ah ha!! Another reason to keep the battery thread going. When my two new Alpha battery 120ah lead acids pack up I bet ill get two of them for fifty quid. With all the work Merl did I bet they would drop straight in now. :D
 
Nah, wrong terminals Barry. Anyway in 5 years time when your lead acids are knackered Lithium will be 2 for £100 so the adaptors will cost more than the batteries probably.

I noticed the cycle life on those Expedition batteries is 150 cycle life (Three year warranty) @ 50% DOD. Doesn't sound much but I suspect they will rarely get that low now. I usually get six or seven years out of one. Its not like they are expensive anyway.
