Low emissions zones in France

Did I read on here the French Crit air sticker was necessary for Spain?? Could be Portugal

Spain only issues its own version of emissions stickers to residents of Spain. For practical purposes they accept the French Crit air certificate and give it some form of equivalence to the Spanish one. So if visiting Spain and you have a French Crit air then you are covered.

Depends very much on the individual authority; it's possible in some areas to request an exemption, but that might be for one or more years in some or just one or two days (if at all) in others.
In Scotland you can apply for a 24 hour exemption, Ithink. I have blue badge exemption, so Could drive in any city in Scotland, but choose to avoid going to cities, not because of pollution, just because I don’t like being in cities, find them very crowded and uncomfortable

When you get a case like Rouen, where even the "bypass route" the N151 is in the zone, I can see the stupidity of some zones. But inside major conurbations where the fug hangs around, yep. We rarely go into larger towns and cities in the van, but that Rouen one...
