Lovely little microcamper

How long can you hold a she ite or water.

Not that long ago we used to go off on boys trips in VW campers, tents and an old Commer caravanette before that all over. No loo, showers or electric, often for a couple of weeks and we hardly ever used campsites. Always managed just fine. Good excuse to go to the pub to "wash your hands".

It's very nice and would suit me except for 2 things; there is virtually no where to put clothes if you use the under the bed storage for a toilet and that canvas is surely very cold.

It's a cracking little van. I have friends who have or have had Fiat Doblo based campervans, they've all been very pleased with them. This is a long wheel base, so probably bigger than my Dispatch. Have had a lot of trips in that, including a couple of long ones like Orkney last year (and that was before the conversion even began on it).

Trev you have no imagination, these microcampers are not just "Day vans", although they are very good at that too.

Ok please let me know about real toilets with privicy and washroom, maybe this is why we get targeted about human waste being left in the countryside.
I can see them being ok for campsites but not wilding as such, just my thoughts.

Many small campers (VW's etc.) don't have washrooms Trev, some have a portaloo in a wooden box with a cushion on top as an extra chair near the door, as I said horses for courses.

But nobody should be put off having such a vehicle when they behave correctly just because some people wrongly perceive that they are dumping waste.

True but i dont see many except maybe men using a expossed loo, there are lots of mini campers on the road here but almost all use campsites with utilities, vw are the most common.

The beauty of a small camper though Trev is that you can access many places to wild that larger one's cannot and they are easier to park discretely.

So whilst you may think that almost all use campsites, you may well be wrong in assuming that.

I agree with both points you make there.

I think the way round the storage issues for clothes would be 2 have a couple of small suitcases or holdalls which could be moved to the front driver/passenger seats once parked up.

Maybe as i dont follow them but see very few parked up at places like carrickfergus castle or whitehead seafront where there is always big vans.
Those that i do see are up around Portrush at coastal beaches etc.

Loads of people go wilding in tents Trev. How do you think they cope? Women are just as capable of having a Pee in the bushes as men. Ok maybe not as easily but its not a deal breaker and you just wait until you get somewhere with a loo for a number two or bury it if you are desperate. I wouldn't want to be away without all the comforts of my big van now but it wouldnt be a deal breaker. As said we did it for years.
