I was in a trio with a Ford Thames Estate.
Bench seat cross wise, behind the the driver and passenger seat. .
Our roadie, later my brother in law, used to arrive in a boiler suit, with with a smart suit beneath..
Once we'd got the gear out and ready, he'd shed the boiler suit, and spend the rest of the gig, " auditioning ", would-be girl singers.
He worked for 10 bob a night.

We went up to a quartet.
2 Vox AC 30s and my Marshall Bass speaker, was a well used boudoir, when coming back from a distant gig.
Golden days.
