Lots of H van campers about, I took these at the ICCCR World meeting in Holland in 2016.

What has always appealed to me about the h is how the French just turret a flat section of mild steel and give it a body of structure and style, a unique look. Wheeler dealers on quest recycled one for commercial use which was repeated recently and a good watch.

Had this one a few years ago. Wanted to restore it but gave up. Sold it to someone far more capable.
Never noticed before, seems most the campers are on Dutch built H vans.

I first saw one a few years ago at the local tip,having never seen one before I wandered over to chat to the owner thinking it was some rare 40s or 50s van,when he told me it was built in 1985 my jaw nearly hit the floor!
I thought it was quite ugly but having seen a few more since then they've really grown on me,I'd quite happily own one.

There was a member on here a while ago had one with an Audi 1.9 tdi engine and running gear conversion. Very nice it was too.

when we did the markets there, we saw loads of them with hard shells that slid off to double the length, and this sort of thing

I expect the panel beaters did not like them, you would have to put the wrinkles back into them.
