I’m sure his. Ring. Is fine.
He’s probably just got his hand stuck & is
now trying to build something to help retrieve it
Argghhhh! The homemade inspection camera works. I can see the bloody ring but just cant get to it with anything. So we drive 78 miles to Salcombe and hope that it moves. It kind of did move back into sight under some pipes but its just impossible to get at with coat hangers or anything. It just gets shoved out of sight again and its just too awkward to get an arm in properly. I think the only answer is going to be to try and dismantle the van. Well the seating area woodwork. Unless I can somehow get the wooden trunking between the two dinette seats opened up but I suspect that runs under the seat frame.
The next job I think is to see if I can find the right tools to get at the screws to remove the bed supports so I can then hopefully remove the hinged frame on top. It looks impossible to me.
Can you just cut a new small inspection hatch in so it makes things easier to retrieve when it happens again![]()
I reckon this is a rouge, Baz it’s trying for 1,000 posts on this one.You seem very certain it will happen again, Paul...![]()

Lubricant !Well the hole it slipped down is just about big enough to get a hand in but not all the way down.
Cover it with Duct tape, easy to take off if there is a need.
If anything else goes down there it could get really heated in this van and no mistake!
That would cure you’re gas problem then Barry.
Oh C'mon Barry, you'll be no good in a zombie apocalypse. if you can see it you can fish it out surely? Tape some spoons end to end until you've got enough length and then wrap one end with some inside out gaffer tape so the sticky is on the outside.Well the hole it slipped down is just about big enough to get a hand in but not all the way down.
