Long Journey

i don't like any distractions when driving, and rarely talk or listen to music.
because i'm convinced that the roads are peopled by homicidal maniacs and stupid drivers and careless drivers who are liable to do something lethal at any moment, and i'd like to be ready when it happens.
of course i have already survived a number of such situations, and would hate to be fiddling with buttons on a machine ,or turning to chat, when the next one arises.

loud, hot and strong

I like the music loud and the coffee strong I listen to Bette midler, Barbara Streisand or Tina Turner when driving and have the odd break for a coffee I don't have the coffee when driving as I tend to forget about it and it ends up going cold in the dash holder and there is nothing I hate more than cold coffee.

Bat out of hell on full blast sounds like a good idea :scooter: (ok so there wasn't a motorbike icon!)

Bat out of hell was what I used to sing at the top of my voice when riding a motorbike. Fine when you're going along but you get funny looks at traffic lights

Travelling to Cornwall on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer is especially bad. Avoid if you can. Saturday is changeover day.
