Been a member of Wild Camping for just over a year now and because of other commitments have only been away in the motorhome for the odd few weekends only so with little time to explore have just stayed at campsites. This time has been different, with a week off, we have come over to North Wales and experimented with Wild Camping at Betwys-y-coed station car park which was fine just a bit noisy 1st thing as used as a meeting place for walkers, plus the clock chimes every hour but I only heard it twice. Next Llyn Gwynant and the highlight, the lay-by overlooking Criccieth, the castle and the Irish Sea. All these were POIs in the Satnav from Wild Camping downloads.

We have a big trip booked for Sept/Oct/Nov to Spain and Portugal and can't wait and will now have the confidence to Wild Camp.

Previous post said alas had to go home well just got caught up in the place and had to stay another night. Visited Porthor (Whistling Sands Beach) absolutely stunning and then onto Morfa Nefyn where we stayed the night. This beach there by the golf course is famous for the Ty Coch Pub one of the best beach side bars.

Now home but had a great 6 days away and great weather despite the weather forecasts which fortunately were totally wrong.

We stayed at the National Trust car park. We paid our £4 for the day arriving about 15.00 and left by 09.00 the next morning. Fantastic views.
