Liverpool Cathedral

The thing about Liverpool is that we have two cathedrals.

They are connected by "Hope Street".

Meet under a statue exceedingly bare
And if you want a Cathedral, we've got one to spare
In my Liverpool home"

Both are relatively modern and built by acclaimed architects. Ironically the Catholic one by a devout Protestant and the Anglican by a devout Catholic.

Good heavens where’s it all gone!
Just looking at the cathedral on Google Maps. All the buildings and streets in front of the cathedral have disappear and been replaced since I worked in Rodney Street…I can barely recognise the area now…it’s even clean!

TBH I reckon these are the only two ‘cathedrals’ the scousers are bothered about these days:
