been using one of these today, quite impressed ! plenty of power and fast cutting, doesn't feel much different to my festo. no idea on battery life , but you can get another battery for 20 euros delivered, which is dirt cheap. happy buyer

I have a router but dont know how to use it as i want to cut a slot round inside a hole on ply board so to fit a plastic inset to finish it nice,so next prob to solve.

I saw that the other day - looked decent and good value.
Was tempted myself but standardized on Ryobi +One 18V kit for cordless tools to save on multiple charger and battery types.

Use a router bit designed for the job. They have a cutter with blades the shape of the rebate you want and a guide wheel built into the bottom to make the rebate width consistent.

Wood is fixed in van at kids beds which as they have grown i require to mod but cannot remove, will look on utube to see how they work.

with one good battery you can buy S/H 18v Ryobi off ebay and get all the tools you need and at a fraction of new prices.

Saw them quite a while ago,did consider it,all been and gone now though, although not looked for a while

Should you really be buying new saws, considering your track record?
Look online for chainmail butchers gloves.
You might find that those with less than the usual number of fingers.... Are cheaper.
