Levelling blocks. Which?

There is always the option to download a free bubble level app onto your smartphone. The one I use is bubble level galaxy. Alternatively make a cup of tea and see if it spills when you pour water in the mug. Or place a marble on the worktop.

Our Milenco blocks are doing OK used mainly on Spanish rock or roasted French soil.
We bought a 2nd hand pair of Milenco's at a Rally fora £15 donation to a canine charity in June 2021 [the triple step, rather than the shallower Quattro version], The ramps were a little dog-eared [no pun intended] where the honeycomb supports had begun to compress, but they have served well for some 216 nights since purchase, in Scotland, England, France and Spain on tarmac, gravel, grass and mud, so we cannot complain [but I will when they do finally give up the ghost ...] :D

One of my better £15 investments. Next step 'Dragon's Den'?

I just open the toilet door. If it swings one way or the other its not quite right. Im not exactly anal about being completely level but if you are somewhere for a few nights or longer its nice to be flat(ish).

bollocks to levelling block bollocks.. I had the MA-VE automatic hydraulic system fitted to my van
one press of the button and the thing is auto levelled without the faff of rolling the van onto ramps trying to get it level for the fridge to work etc..
only downside is that the price is circa £4k + :(

I'd just think pf how many miles of diesel that would buy and not bother, we used ramps for a few days then I just stopped I THINK I might have two sets buried in the garage that came out of vans we bought Fiamma I think, or I may have jsut put them back in when we sold, dunno.

after sweating my bollocks off in the heat, nearly having a heart attack and faffing about trying to get the van level on those silly plastic ramp things (especially on the uneven French sites) I thought.. to hell with it!
Its the best £4k I have ever spent
The best of it Kev is that the company that fitted the auto stuff will remove it and refit it if I ever change the van for a few hundred quid..

But you are barking mad pal! You also forget that I like to show off a bit. My levelling ramp skills are second to none ill have you know. While the French or the German wives are barking orders at their husbands who are looking all confused behind the wheel (The Germans are really funny at this), I just whack one or sometimes two ramps under the front or the back, reverse on or forwards (dont matter) in a second or three. Whizz off on the bike for beer and cheese! Job done.

Funny thing about wimmin and their instruction to the driver, Liz always manages to stand where I can't see her, doesn't say stop or anything sensible or bang on the back of the van/car it's like they have never driven before and start waving about like a bloody looney and eventually say you're okay there so you have to get out to check and you're either miles away from the obstacle or you've run it over, same with levellers, forward forward stop is all it takes innit, but can they do it, NO!!!

Another 'Bog Door' level exponent! That's the first check, followed by the bottle of milk [3 litres size is perfect for the narrowness and length of the milk line], and then the freebie App, 'Level' for the final measurement

You have failed as a "Proper Bloke" Kev if you have to get the mrs involved. I could run some self levelling courses if you like. :D Probably why mine are knackered. Keep running over them. :ROFLMAO:

Solved one of the problems, Kev, with the battery operated Garmin Bluetooth BC40 camera fitted last week, to avoid uncouth language enquiring of the whereabouts of Elaine, because I am unable to see her. Unfortunately, when under pressure, she can confuse left and right, and, as a result of a last minute manoeuvre the first time I followed her instructions on my first drive in Scotland, the 'No, the OTHER Right' has become a standing instruction when on the road :D

How did we get from Levelling blocks to Michael Gove? I liked him in Allo Allo.

A lot of the wild spots we probably use even on grass are often a bit rocky or uneven. Could be a contributory factor. Ground and grass gets rock hard in some places in summer and if its not even that could bend them.
I've mentioned before that a piece of 1/2 plywood fixed to the bottom of ramps will save all of that mine had it fitted before ever I used them 15 yrs old now
