Nope, when in SERIES the performance will be determined by the weaker (higher resistance) battery BUT when they are in PARALELL (like the OP will be connecting them) the resistances of the two batteries will parallel to form a new resistance that is lower than either of the original batteries, that's simply Ohms Law.
The two batteries effectively combine to form a single new battery who's capacity will exactly equal the sum of the original two batteries, that's Kirchhoff's Current Law.
If the chemistry and cell number is the same then both batteries become 'flat' at the same voltage as each other and also become 'full' at the same voltage as each other.
Because they are connected in parallel they therefore become 'flat' and 'full' identically. It doesn't matter how old they are or who made them or what capacity they are. They both attain full capacity and full discharge simultaneously and therefore their relative capacities of both batteries are fully utilised.

What is that believe based on though? It's certainly not science based or ascertained through actual testing or experiment.
You stated rules WRT paralelling batteries that had no science based backup AND you missed the two most important factors namely chemistry and cell number(voltage) and included instead a set of I'll informed and inaccurate rules including a rediculous rule regarding the batteries needing to be the same age....really? A six month old battery could easily be completely knackered or pretty much like new depending on how it's been treated so age is quite obviously daft.
Electronics is a tough subject for the vast majority of campers, they rely on good advice. Yes, you and I disagree but advice on a forum that's ONLY a personal opinion based on bad information probably because it was founded on a confusion between parallel and series and a retailers desire to sell customers needless batteries, that's repeated parrot fashion from one ill informed camper to the next and also doesn't align with science, actual testing, logic and fundamental laws of physics should really come with a warning caveat. A better idea would be to refrain from posting the nonsense at all and stick to pulling people up for their incorrect use of the possessive apostrophe.

Has anyone tried a leisure battery from temu ,are they any good ? are they any cheaper? I`ve got to get a second one before going away in the van.

Hi Ii have only bought small items like kitchenware, bathroom stuff and mats and they were all useless poor quality and thrown away. I would not like to trust them to something as important as a battery, especially the fire potential of rubbish batteries highlighted at NEC.

I wouldn't even entertain a battery from Temu. They're cheap for a reason. I use a Fogstar Drift 628ah and it's just awesome.

I've had quite a few items from Temu and most has been OK, a small portion has been superb especially considering the cost and another small portion has been rubbish but they take it back or refund you without issues. A lot of the cheaper stuff on eBay and Amazon is essentially the same as Temu/AliExpress but more expensive. I can't imagine there being any form of guarantee once you're outside of the initial returns period and this would put me off buying a lead acid battery from anyone except a trusted bona fide retailer. The exception would be if it was for a fixer upper that I wasn't planning on keeping for long.
Now personally I think there's a case for a cheap Temu lithium battery maybe? Maybe not.... dunno.

I know I'm in a minority but I try to avoid anything that has the CCP's fingers in it - and that means most Chinese stuff, unfortunately. Probably just me. It's not always possible to do this because of cost and other considerations but if non Chinese stuff is available at a marginally higher cost I'll pay it. Leisure batteries would be a definite no-no for me personally.

I would never buy from TEMU for the reason above even if thought the quality was any good.

It is very hard to avoid Chinese products generally. Even the European quality brands have kit made there as we know, but at least in those cases, we have to hope they maintain a degree of control over both the product and how it is made (in terms of factory worker conditions).
For Leisure Batteries, the ones I buy and recommend are non-Chinese made (although the actual cells for the Lithiums will be made in China as zero choice there). For Leisure Batteries, both Lead Carbon and Lithiums are made in Vietnam, and the Starter Batteries are made in Poland.
Preferred B2Bs are designed AND made in the UK. Same as Battery Maintainers/Trickles.

Same here for example a mate of mine bought a cordless sprayer that uses DeWALT batteries off Ebay for £45 that he said was very good for the money.

I`d been looking as well so after he told me that i had a look around and found the identical one on Temu for £21 so i bought it, it`s put 2 coats of paint on my new brick built garage inside wall remarkably wells and was very easy to use, it`s also cleaned up very well ready for next use.

The hardest bit was getting the paint to the right consistency to spray so that wasn`t Temu`s fault.

I`ve no qualms about using Temu and given i`m a poor pensioner without a pot to piss in my limited income has to go far, so to speak

Another one that springs to mind is Temu`s copy of the DeWALT DCL 050-XJ.

Got mine for £12 ( bare unit ) because i had a coupon and they are brilliant for a fraction of the price of the original.

I actually have 2. the one in the photo is pristeen and used inside the house and i`ve another that lives in the garage for outside work so doesn`t matter if it gets a but dirty. I only use them with genuine DeWALT batteries.

One of the contractors on this new build site that was here doing some snagging for us said he forgotten his worklight so i got him mine, he was flabbergasted at how good it was and asked for the details.

Turns out he`s also got one now and 4 other contractors that he showed it to have also got them.
