LED Lighting

I haven't got them installed in the van, but I use portable LED lamps at night for reading and general lighting. Saves the leisure battery, and provides excellent light.

yeah me too, cant afford the real one's on my pension, hahahaha

We have them in the mini spotlights, 6 of them and I hate the cold colour of them. I know that you can get warmer looking bulbs. Can anyone recommend which type and where to get them please?

Done mine this year 4 spot lights and one strip light..
Going to change all the strip tubes later on..
Bur first fitting new warm air heating ready for this winter......

YOu can get stick on led lights and hanging portable ones for a couple of quid from mountain equipment shops.... Really handy to have.

Hi Phil,
I have recently replaced most of my bulbs with LEDs. They work fine and are not all that expensive if you shop around. The only problem I had was finding replacement G4 bulbs that aren't too big for some of my small spotlights.

Philips do the warmest halogen replacements. I have a pair of 7 watt ones, £30 each. They're similar to 35 watt halogens in terms of brightness.

Same as Al n Sal moonstore on ebay under £15 the whole van converted, come from HK take nearly 2 wks to arrive but every bulb works and no probs whatsoever! Winter is coming and am sure to reap the benefits of low power consumption

Replaced all the 10 watt halogen capsule bulbs with these G4 24 SMD - Ebay
Delighted with the colour of the light, virtually the same as the halogens. Plus the 90% energy saving.

Been looking at the lights in the pictures done by Techno100, Does the white diffuser just unclip (havent taken them off before). Also where do you get the led bulb from, and does it just push in or does it need someone with a bit of knowledge to convert it? Really havent a clue, and dont want to start something cant finish.

We have done the 4 spotlights and have bought 2 for under the cupboards not fitted them yet makes a difference well worth the money.
