LED!!! Brake light.

I took the van for an MOT today and glad to say it passed but with an advisory, the high up brake light has a few LED's out. So I searched Fleabay as you do but the chance of me getting an exact match are pretty slim. There are hundreds out there.
So I thought let's see if it can be repaired and stripped it out. I found out it is bulbs and not LED and water had been getting in and causing some of the terminals to rust. As it happens I have some 12v LED strip so why not convert it, and I'm pretty pleased with the result, sealed it with silicon sealant and when it's set it can go back on.
Could be a new sideline here for when I retire.

Im not a fan of sealed led units, but would rather fill a replacement led bulb to old type units, easy to sort cheap.

A lot of the time the problem is with bad contact, corrosion in the bulb holders. Sealed units are great but you have to buy got quality and not Chinese crap of eBay.

That is exactly what the bulb but the holders have started to rust, so if I change the bulbs it will be the same next year.
