Leaking water onto hab doorstep

Not sure how good this stuff is, but may be worth a try?
They also do it in long lengths.

Fiamma Drip Stop 75 cm is ideal for Caravan and Motorhome entrance doors - Drip Stop 300 cm is the perfect Rain Gutter

that looks a very interesting and simple product Dave ..... it looks as if it just glues on - and that i could use it along the whole length of my van and put an extra bit over the hab door frame for extra protection - i will need to to go out and measure it tomorrow to see what length i need...... have you used it on your delica?

This is what I suggested earlier ...

I haven't used it, and its probably not a permanent fix, but would probably be ok for a while.
The biggest issue may be cleanly removing the old gutter especially if its screwed on.

Dave.

Have you considered that the leak may be coming from the wheel arch; when driving in the wet, the water coming from the wheel acts like a pressure washer. We have had just a bit of rain lately 😐

Thanks everyone for your useful suggestions.... i have decided to go with the Fiamma plastic guttering which is self adhesive and which i will put over the hab door in an arc to stop the run off from the remaining bit of guttering from dripping onto the habitation door. The faffing about required to remove the remaining bit of in situ gutter and then getting off the old sikkaflex which is on there like s**t to a blanket would have driven me bonkers trying to get at it from an unstable step ladder on an uneven bit of ground !!! So this way i can clean the external hab walls around the hab door and on a dry day then just peel off the back and glue it on..... I reckon even i can manage that !!! I will report back in due course when i have fitted it and then after it has rained..... It cost £30 for 3 meters.

thanks i will bear that in mind for the future. This water ingress has only happened since the van has been SORNED and laid up for its first ever several months of inactivity - so i can only assume it was the lashing rain we have had a few million gallons of and the wind direction in my new home here.....

Wll i ordered the flamma guttering yesterday at 12.30 and it arrived this morning !!! Tis a really solid substantial bit of kit, and the back protective strip peels off really easily to reveal the sticky bit. I think it does need more than one pair of hands to do a good job... but many thanks for the recommendation i am very hopeful that this will solve the problem. I did measure my proposed route for the flamma over-hab-door route for the deviation guttering, to ensure it does not empty itself onto my floor level lights, or onto my lounge window frame for that matter. i dont want to cause another problem by lack of thought... will let you know when its done and when it works.

I suggest marking a guide line in pencil. Before you start make sure the 'van is level fore and aft.

You can stand back from the vehicle and check its alignment and positioning. The eye is a great guide ...

Then just progressively peel off the backing as you apply the strip following your guide.

Fiamma Drip Strip

I used the drip strip works a treat as you can bend to the curve of the door . Done mine as soon as I got the van as it looked like an issue could be had there so done before it happened been on there now for 3 years and still solid not come loose once .

thanks for that - tis very reassuring... how far down the van's body from the original guttering did you extend the plastic guttering ?
