Love it when this happens,

Everyone else has buggered off home after Firework display over at Portmerion...
(We are here till next weekend ;-))

Weather has brightened up today after yesterday's and day befores rain... And we've been given a free upgrade to hook up (though the solar is still doing fine.
Hounds are shattered after days of hooning about on the beach....

Cracking views and ideal for kayaking (IF the weather had been calmer)

That’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit but never got round to it yet. I watched the Prisoner years ago and again during lockdown. Come in No7

It's a lovely place for a wander (though not cheap) especially at quieter times

(AND they don't allow dogs in so it rules us out)
You can also stay in some of the properties for a fee.

Looking lovely across the water with the sun on it at the moment.

We cleared out from Llyn peninsular friday morning, if I had put a sail on van wouldn't have had to touch the throttle all the way home.
This stretch of coast has definitely caught the weather the, last few days....
Loads of tents wrecked on Shell island (it was their Firework display for closing for the, season)

A week ago we where on a site at very end of Llyn Peninsula, a couple turned up late afternoon and put up tent, next morning they where gone, farmer told me the tent had collapsed, not surprised as the van was rocking and it wasn't due to activities inside the van. 😜

That the site below Myndd Mawr.... Concrete track up to the ww2 obs post on the top (cracking spot.... We paid the camp site owner £10 to stay at the top(he owns or did own all the land there)
And use the facilities on the camp site.....
Double sunset usually as the sun drops, down behind the mountains in Ireland and then sets again a minute or so later...
Lovely...
Porth Largo is stunning too £15ca night with its own private beach.

That's the one, much too windy most days to consider staying up top, even sheltered in bottom field it was kin windy nearly every day

Was that Morfa Mawr campsite?

Went for a short wander with the hounds today (I've got a poorly hoof at the moment so on rest ;-))

Headed up to

St Michael's Church, Llanfihangel-y-Traethau

a short walk away and a pretty church with some interesting graves....

Weather and light was stunning.... Though my phone didn't really capture it.
