LOL! Except thats not the Lakes. Its about 20 miles north of York Now safely back home and warm back at Rock God Towers. This going out and "enjoying" the New Years day fresh air is overrated if you ask me.

Wimp.................back in the day Newy Year day was an East Coast Dive, Dunbar or St Abbs if weather and sea state favorable. If east a no no, west to the sea lochs of Loch Long or Fyne, the latter if the Rest was open. I'll never forget one NY Loch Loch dive, horrendous rains for days on west coast, fresh water waterfalls spewing into the sea loch. In we go, coldest Halocline I had ever experienced, once below 20 metre depth, no more Halocline, and I am being serious, the experience was like walking from freezing conditions into a well warmed room, 20+ metre underwater!!

If one has aspirations of becoming a Eunuch, diving Loch Long at Conger Alley reef, kilt will do the trick, as the Congers will feast on anything dangly.
