Just finished Boxer camper conversion

Nice job, enjoy, you've earned it ;)👏👌

Talking to various petrol heads recently, it's amazing how many engines are provided by the the same manufacturer right across a broad range of "badges".

In fact, the only way you know the exact engine of a vehicle is by examining the physical engine itself, where you'll find various components marked up with the actual engine supplied; the brand badges don't mean much these days 🤷‍♀️

I had that issue when I was buying and selling them Marie, there are at least three different 2.8 engines, but the slam panel has a data plate with the engine code, many sellers were clueless beyond, it's a Ducato.

There was a peed off woman at our local garage who, apparently, turned up with her brand new Mercedes and took the hump when one of the mechanics looking at it removed something in the engine and said, ah, right, Renault...

She didn't believe them until they showed her the proof and explained. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I don't know how she can live with the shame! I bet she dursent tell her neighbours... 😳🫣🤭🤭🙄

Silly snobbery and "oneupmanship" always makes me smile (with a smidgeon of pity included) 😉😈 😜🤣

The 07 Citroen I self built and the current Fiat van have the same engine, the Ford Puma engine.
Thought the Puma engine stopped being used in Sevel vans when euro 6 came in?

Always fun telling people with Mercedes they have a Renault engine in their motor, obviously you have to know which models do. You can also Renault owners their car has a Mercedes engine, it's partly true. 😂

It could be Mark, but this is a 07 van

Had a customer with a Porsche Carrera needing rear pads. When I looked them up they were the same as Talbot Samba front pads. Mentioned this to the customer and he wasn’t impressed and insisted in us getting the pads from Porsche. Got even more upset when I road tested his car after fitted his pads. Thought I was just driving it of the ramp to the carpark. His face was a picture when I drove past him and out the carpark😂
