Hi, nice area. Dont forget you can also overnight at Elf Kirk near Kielder dam or the car park by Kielder Castle for £10 or theres a cracking POI near Falstone village.

The caravan & camping site on the other side of Bellingham is also a good stopover.

Love that area this time of year. Pity about the bloody midgies in the summer months. Enjoy.

Victor

and so is the site farm site near to the village, lovely couple who own this.

Regarding your battery issue I suggest two possibilities.

Firstly the onboard charger has been switched off. This has caught out many people, me included, on buying a 'van. On hookup everything will work since the 12 volt circuitry is supplied direct.

Secondly the battery is knackered ...

2 brand new batteries and have no idea where or how to switch the onboard charger. It's off to the builders on Monday as there are some alterations they are doing with seat cushions so I will ask them to check it out.

A volt meter on battery will let you know if getting a charge from engine or mains charger,it will increase from 12.7 to anything from 13.7 to 14.4 which is best.

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow as I have one in my mothers garage where I normally park the camper on her drive
