I've had similar happen, friends pop in for a visit and end up staying for the weekend. One friend had been night fishing for mackerel and hit a shoal, stopped off to share his catch, I had just returned from a brewery in Newcastle that I'd been working at with a keg of Rivet catcher. I pulled out the smoker, i had whisky cask staves stored so had smoked makerel for breakfast lunch and tea washed down with rivet, in bed for 9. Checked the keg in the morning and it was finished.
