its a gas

30mbar is the current standard for both butane and propane
I have 28/30/37/50 ...and they all work fine with both butane and propane on my appliances

in france it is currently cheaper to buy in bottles than from the lpg pump [ which is propane ] , and the price of bottles is now very low , last one I bought cost €1 [ energas from intermarche ] although €5 is the price on their website

En1949 which spawned en12864 2001 annex d. Does prescribe regulators at. 30 mbar this is exclusive to motor and touring caravans, statics and houses still work on the 28 37 mbar regs
I posted a while ago peoples experience of 30 mbsr regs and there certainly from a user view doesn't seem any detriment..

I am a qualified lpg gas engineer lav vehicles my specialism, the reason for my curiosity is the French standard of NSF 56 400 ran at pressures much greater than the applances required

We had 8500 statics dotted about Europe, made commercial sense to go 30 mbar on replacement regulators new commissions we could potentially source at a better price.

We remained Sat on the fence and still insist upon dedicated regulators for the specific gas used
