Isofix mount retrofitted?

Anyone had experience of getting an Isofix mount fitted for a kids car seat?

I’ve had a few cars with isofix systems always came built into seat I did once have a close look at how it worked and how it was done. If say your car was a Ford and you used a part direct from Ford made to be retrofitted then don’t see a problem if the car manufacturer made it. But I’d stay away from the cheap generic ones the fit any car type on e bay and the like probably not a good idea.
