Yep, it was too subtle for me! I guess the link I provided showed I checked the dictionary, although I didn't need to as I know it exists but, just in case I thought I'd post the proof!

Judging though from the people that I come across on forums I'm still not sure it was a spoof. I come across loads of people who wouldn't actually know the word! The illiteracy of people never fails to amaze me!

Scam all Scam - we recently had a phone call also offering to fix our computer then to fix our washing machine, dishwasher and on it went, and then emails claiming (with attachments) to be from our bank (and they had the correct bank !!!) Then it was emails from BT day after day - I forwarded them all to BT fraud dept and they sorted it for me, good old BT
