my motorhome is just 13 months old.
Is there a replacement that will last a little longer than a year?

Doesn't look good, unless there's a blockage in your pipes.

But first, what gas are you using?? Are you using butane (calor blue) these mornings as it's getting cold, butane doesn't gas off easily, colder still it stops altogether!!

So first step, what gas??

Hi thanks for the reply I'm on propane

Not the gas then, I'm assuming there is gas in the bottle!!

I'd remove a bottle and regulator along with a length of gas pipe.Connect up and put the open end of gas pipe into bucket of water, you should see a stream of bubbles that continues at a constant rate.

You should be able to put your finger on the open end and "open and shut" the pipe. If not then it looks like a new regulator. Is your bulk head mounted or free standing>>

NOTE WELL, obviously do this test in the open, well away from sources of ignition etc remember that propane is heavier than air, so not near sewers, manholes etc

Cheers for your help, the regulator is blocked so I've just had to replace it, £48.29 lighter :-(

Hi,
If your van is only 13 months old it should be replaced under warranty free of charge.

After 3 replacements i`ve gone back to the older style regulator see link :-

NEW PROPANE GAS REGULATOR STANDARD SCREW TYPE | eBay

This one has now been on 3 years and no problems what so ever and at this price i have a spare
ready to fit just in case.

Regards.

Graham.

I thought the warranty would cover it, but they said that them parts are only covered for 12 months :-( I was going to put the old style back on but I don't want to give them any reason to void the vans warranty if I had to claim for anything, been down that road before lol
