Ireland

we started our trip to visit the family homeland at crookhaven in the june ,while there taking the dog for a walk got in conversation with a local when i commented on the lovely weather his reply was ! it’s good that you’ve come now we have summer early in these parts , which i thought the most irish expression id ever heard

We've been twice and hoping to go again soon if I can get an Auto van, we used this to find places, it was good but not used it for about 3-4 years.

No one has mentioned Inch beach thats a beautiful part of the country.
Don't know what happened above!
It's stunningly beautiful and you can overnight on the beach. Don't get stuck in the sand like we did....if you do the surf school will lend you a shovel!

How long are you going for? (very important info)
My family are fro Wexford so know the area!
How big is your rig?
Where do you live?
The wild Atlantic way on the west coast is the most beautiful place on earth (in my opinion!)
I can give you a route that we have done and it was spectacular
you can come into Rosslare and head to Waterford for your first night then to Linsale in Co. Cork
and pick up the wild Atlantic way there

take your time otherwise you'll miss so much

Would you be willing to share the route with me please? I fancy a return trip but would appreciate an idea of a route. My m.home is approx 7m long. I do fancy taking my tow car, but I'd need to get some practise in first.

Can anyone recommend a good book with camping possibilities for Ireland? Just bought the AA Camping Guide and it shows a few 4 & 5 star sites in the whole country. The Caravan club shows even less choice. With a Motorhome we are fairly flexible for night stops.

There is a booklet published annually by the tourist board in the republic of Ireland. However, campsites, I believe, have to pay to be listed and consequently not all sites are listed.
WEBSITE BLOCKED BY ADMIN and WEBSITE BLOCKED BY ADMIN probably would cover all of your needs.
Total motorhome Ireland also have a page listing commercial sites, Aires, and pubs that allow overnight stays.
